Gratitude to the Universe

November 29.  Too much to list.  December’s going to be a busy month.

November 22. For helping me make this trip happen.

November 21. That I can go to my home country and, without fear, pray to which ever god I want and not be imprisoned, beaten, electrocuted, starved or killed for it.

November 4. Lobsang Chodon, my neighbor nun.

October 30. An Australian Nun.

October 28. The time change.

October 25. A ride in the Jeep.

October 21. Yoga, doctors, patient nuns and bourbon cookies.

October 14. For getting me to once again practice my Pranayama. So many thanks.

October 4. Knowing that I’m progressing.

September 21. I stood up for myself.

September 18. Prayer wheels, circumambulation and nuns. All of the nuns.

September 17. A nun.

September 13. Knowing when to just go lay down.

September 10. I don’t have to get up at 4:30 to make breakfast for other people.

September 6-9. I have never had to beg for a roof over my head or a meal.

August 31. Remaining calm in the face of squirrelly laptop issues.

August 30. The reminder that I am human.

August 25. I’m holding steady. Doing good.

August 23. The entire orchestration of this trip has been quite stress-free! I know I’m meant to go.

August 19. Keiko and Sam have a good temporary situation with their Uncle Patrick and both are settling in nicely. That my apartment has been such a perfect refuge while going through this transition.

August 17. The 2:45 Ferry passes back to the mainland.

August 9. Everything.

August 4. The good doctor. What a gift.

July 29. The generosity of friends and a good, mind-clearing hike. Loved the horsies.

July 28. Having the chance to spend quality time with people I genuinely enjoy before I leave.

July 26. Not taking the bait.

July 25. Kindness of others.

July 20. Friends near and far. I also am grateful to the universe for learning how to ask for help and say thank you without shame. Learning to show vulnerability is another big one for me. Learning to laugh at myself. It’s just such a big day. Honesty is so nice.

July 19. Feeling even better today. I want to bake a cake.

July 17. I am grateful for the support I receive daily from friends and loved ones, as I go through this huge transition in my life. I’m starting to feel less alone.

July13. I am grateful to have such a wonderful flock of friends to be with on one of my last weekends in this country.

July 10. I am grateful to the universe for giving me no choice but to be in my own face. Man, I’m getting sick of me.

July 7. I am grateful for finding one person that traveled to Dharamsala last year and one that is going this fall when I am!

July 5. Compassion and love from those around me.

July 2. Today’s gratitude is all about strength. I would be in a heap on the floor right now without mine.

July 1. Thank you Universe for the past 5 days. They’ve been pure magic.

June 26. Meeting Lhoppon Rechungpa. He is an amazing man and I am honored to have him in my life.

June 19. An understanding house manager. She accepted my apology. I felt horrible for snapping at her.

May 29. All the glorious RAIN! And lack of Tornadoes. I haven’t seen Colorado this green since 1991. OOOps, almost forgot, the unexpected $150 gift card from a toner vendor.

May 28. Was grateful for occasional cloud cover during the 9 mile hike I went on that happened to be sans tree cover. My bad. New hike new lesson.

May 27. Too much to be grateful for. Oh my stars and garters.

May 25. Today’s gratitude is for not giving up when creating the paypal button certainly tried to kick my arse…..I seriously could have bailed on it.

May 24. Today’s gratitude is for the great meditation that lead to 10 hours of GREAT sleep.

May 23. Today’s gratitude is that I’m able to go to work to earn money and make this trip possible. I have faith that it will all work out and that I will leave on September 1st!
